Terms and Conditions of entry.
- We are running a prize draw. There is one prize of a free website available for the winner of the draw.
- Entry is open to individuals who on the date of entering the competition have started trading and running a business within the past 3 years. As well as those running a Limited company or Partnership business, this includes those working in a self-employed capacity or running a social enterprise.
- Participants must be resident or have a business address in one of these four participating areas of East Sussex: the District of Lewes, the District of Rother, the District of Wealden, or Eastbourne Borough.
- Entry is open only to individuals aged 18 or over on the date of entering the competition.
- Entrants must provide their name, business trading name, postal address (including postcode), phone number and email address.
- One winner selected on the following date:
- 12 noon on Monday 4th November 2024
- All entrants will be put into the relevant prize draw, and a winner picked at random.
- The winner will receive a free one page website from 1 Page Websites plus 6-months of the annual service package (six months). The prize includes setup, copywriting, website design, website build, domain name, hosting on eco-servers based in the UK, and up to 5 email addresses. Website hosting and maintenance, after the initial 6-month free period, will be subject to a service agreement with 1 Page Websites at the rate of £35 a month. There is no requirement or commitment to continue with this service after the free period has ended.
- The winner will be notified by email. If a winner does not claim their prize within 21 days of being notified of being a winner, their prize will be forfeited and the organiser reserves the right to select another winner at random from remaining entries.
- If a winner rejects their prize or the entry is invalid, or is found to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions, the winning prize will be forfeited.
- The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
- The winner will be required to provide evidence of the trading status of their business, evidence of the business address, and evidence that supports the date when the business started trading.
- Use of a false name or email address will result in disqualification.
- You may only enter the prize draw once, unless attending one of the content events organised to promote the Ready to Grow programme of business support (to be held in Lewes on 20th March 2024, in the district of Rother on 7th May 2024, in Eastbourne on 10th July 2024 and in the district of Wealden on 10th October), in which case you can submit a second entry (doubling your chances of winning). Details of these free events can be seen on the East Sussex Business Hub https://eastsussexbusinesshub.mn.co/.
- All entries must be made by the person entering the competition. No entrant may win more than one prize.
- No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed or corrupted, or due to computer error in transit.
- The winner is responsible for any expenses and arrangements not specifically included in the prizes, if applicable.
- Digital Islands Business Services reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently close, this competition with or without prior notice due to reasons outside its control (including, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected or actual fraud). The decision of Digital Islands Business Services in all matters under its control is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.
- The winner agrees to the use of their name, business name and photograph (if applicable), and details of their participation in the prize draw, for publicity purposes by 1 Page Website, Digital Islands Business Services and the supporting local and county councils.
- The winner agrees to cooperate with any other reasonable requests by Digital Islands Business Services relating to any post-winning publicity.
- Digital Islands Business Services accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities, injury or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the competition or accepting the prize.
- By entering this competition you agree to be contacted via email by 1 Page Websites and Digital Islands Business Services, with the option to unsubscribe after initial email contact is made.
