About Digital Islands

Go for Growth

Digital Islands: Working hard to help small business owners to reach their goals.

Digital Islands was formed out of a desire to provide advice and support for small businesses operating in the UK.

The company was established in 2017 by Gavin McWhirter, after 11 years providing support to hundreds of fantastic Irish businesses who were looking to grow the value of their exports in to the UK.

The name Digital Islands emerged from a desire to create a series of communities of business owners, each one connected by common ambitions, challenges, sector, geography or stage of development.

HOW CAN WE HELP?

Digital Islands: Cultivating Stronger Bonds and Thriving Communities for Business Owners

Digital Islands has now created multiple communities of business owners. They continue to evolve and grow.

The communities of interest are the starting point for creating stronger bonds between business owners, enabling them to learn from one another and to lend a hand to each other when required. We create an infrastructure that supports and enables knowledge sharing, as well as a mechanism to provide tailored learning and development inputs of value and relevance to small business owners.

Our happy clients

Digital Islands has helped hundreds of small business owners thrive.

By collaborating with local councils, universities, business membership organisations, networks and other providers of economic development services, we reach deep into
the communities we serve to achieve real results.

With projects across Southern England, we have built a wide network of specialists. This has created a robust structure able to serve local project delivery and provides capacity and back up capacity if required.
